Introduction

Islamic Spring Retreat (ISR) is an annual Malaysian Islamic Study Group (MISG) event that is held every Spring in various universities throughout the United States. ISR is mainly to discuss Islamic and current issues which related to students’ lives. In this one day seminar, students will learn on how to develop positive and optimistic mindset as a Muslim student in America. They will also discuss about several issues concerning Muslims that happen locally and globally. In addition, ISR is held deliberately to encourage bonding among students who are currently studying in America.

Objectives

To increase awareness of current issues and events especially related to Muslim world.
To help increase self-motivation.
To promote MISG among Malaysian students and explain their important role in helping the students stay strong in their faith while away from their comfort zones/families.
